Garment making requires three dimensional thinking, basic geometry knowledge and paying attention to the dynamics of human body. While creating sat-su-ma products, I prefer designing with a minimal geometrical style compatible with those dynamics.
As well as I wouldn’t like to wear clothes in which I don’t feel comfortable, I wish no one feels such a discomfort in their clothing, too. In general, the concept of dressing varies between comfortable casual, even sloppy clothes and considerably uncomfortable formal, in some cases posh ones. In my opinion, this differentiation pushes the one to dress according to what is expected from him/her, rather than feeling good in it. In fact, feeling at ease, sensing the texture of cloth and to be able to move harmoniously with it are the main elements that determine our look. This is the essential characteristic of sat-su-ma.
